Biography of Siddaramaiah

He was born at Siddaramanahundi which is a small village in Mysore. Siddaramaiah started his political party in opposition party of congress. One cannot easily get minister post from congress party. This is the first time in congress history such a person was recommended for CM post. He belongs to Kuruba Gowda community and it is the first time in Karnataka who was elected as CM from this community.

Early life of Siddaramaiah

Siddaramaiah was born on August 12 1948. He done his schooling in home town. His family was in poverty stage. After completing his schooling Siddaramaiah did B.Sc and Bachelor of Law in Mysore University. He attended law college as he has more interest in society. He has done various protests in favor of society.

Political career of Siddaramaiah

In 1977 he joined Lok Thala party with George Fernandas who has more interest in society. In 1983 he became MLA in Samundeshwari constituency and it was his first election. At that period Ramakrishna was nominated as CM of Karnataka. Siddaramaiah attracted toward the activity of CM and joined Janata Party. Ramakrishna wondered about Siddaramaiah's nature of the struggle, social concern, so he awarded posts like mister of Department of Animal Health and many more.

Rise in political career of Siddaramaiah

On 1985 by-poll election again he won in his constituency. He grabbed minister post. In 1992 he was promoted as General Secretary of Janatha Party. In 1994 again he won the election and he was promoted to Deputy Chief Minister. In 1999 Janatha party was spitted into two. Then he and Deve Gowda left the party and started a new party. In 2004 his party and congress joined hands and again Siddaramaiah was appointed as Depty Chief Minister of Janata Party. On 2006 Janata Party break up with Congress and joined BJP. This was done by Kumaraswami, it made Siddaramaiah anger and he departed from the party. Then he went to serve backward class people in Karnataka. After his service there was always crowd for Siddaramaiah.

Noticing good activities of Siddaramaiah, Sonia Gandhi invited him for congress party. On 2009 BJP won the election but it was not so satisfactory. Even BJP won the election, Siddaramaiah maintained a good status among the people of Karnataka. His force, social service attracted both society and Congress volunteers and made a image that he should be the next CM. On 2013 by-poll election as expected congress won. Many competed for CM post in congress party. So Congress conducted a election and Siddaramaiah got support from 80 MLA. So he was announced as CM of Karnataka.
